The Platja Gran of L'Estartit is a long beach divided into three sectors: the main beach (1 km x 100 m), Els Griells beach (0.5 km x 50 m) and La Pletera beach (1.8 km x 70 m).
The zones for swimming and the zones for water sports are clearly marked by buoys. Situated facing the town residential centre, where most of the beach users stay.
