West and North of L'Escala centre, the Cami de les Dunes footpath leads along the shoreline past a string of beautiful and small coves as far as the Greek and Roman ruins at Empuries and the neighbouring village of Sant Marti d'Empuries.

Platja de les Muscleres  is a fine sandy beach in front of the Hotel Empúries. It is well known for the quality of its water and its pine woods which reach to edge of the seashore. Located in the pedestrian walkway of St Marti d´Empuries.
