Home / Cadaques Beaches
Along the bay of Cadaques and the nature reserve of Cap de Creus, there are some beaches and coves. Most of them are still genuine and wild with pure transparent waters. One of the most characteristic features of beaches and coves in this area are the pebbles and the rocks.
The rocks, which were mashed up when the Pyrenees were formed, have been so stunningly carved by wind and erosion that they remind of animals. One of the rocks located at cove Culleró influenced Salvador Dali’s famous work of art The Great Masturbator.
Dalí house is in a bay called Portlligat, which is one of the most popular coves in Cadaqués.
