Setcases, Catalan Pyrenees
The last spot of Camprodon valley is Setcases. Setcases is a small picturesque village, whose origins date back to the year 965. It is located at an altitude of 1,270 meters, in the confluence of the river Ter with the torrent of Vall-llobre, at the most northern part of the valley and at the foot of the highest mountain tops (Bastiments, Pastuira, Gra de Fajol, Costabona and so on). These peaks almost reach three thousand meters and make up an impressive landscape for hiking and trekking.
An exceptional natural and landscape environment, the singularity of rustic and old buildings, a wide offer, both in gastronomy and hotel resorts, a rural and peaceful atmosphere, the Vallter 2,000 ski resort and the great welcome that its neighbours offer have turned Setcases into a famous and prestigious tourist destination. Walking around Setcases you can enjoy that picturesque village of narrow streets and slate roofs, waterfalls and matchless environments of woods and meadows declared places of natural interest, together with the river Ter, that runs through the village.
