El Moli hotel and restaurant is situated within a beautiful landscape in the middle of forests and fields opening onto the banks of the River Muga. The natural stone building originates from the 17th century and was in full operation as a mill until 1960. It was restored and converted into a restaurant and hotel in 1980 by the Llado family. The sea is only 18 km away, the French border 20km and Figueres 8 km. El Moli restaurant menu prides itself on the Emporda regional cuisine as its speciality but also offers numerous fine examples of international cooking. The restaurant has its own vegetable garden and the meat and fish served are native of the region. We highly recommend that you try the renowned Muga trout. El Moli hotel is small and intimate with 8 bedrooms and the restaurant is set over several small rooms and terraces leading down to the river bank. All rooms are decorated with antique Catalan Pyrenees furniture and have en-suite bathroom, central heating and telephone.
